How quickly things change...

like the weather. Yes, I know that is a boring subject, but right now we have a couple of inches of new snow. So my outdoor photographs will have to wait.

Plus, the doc wasn't thrilled that I was even walking around. The cast has come off, but now I'm stuck with one of those gigantic boots for several more weeks. Deja vu allover again, as they say.  Last year it was the other foot. That was a nasty break and took almost a year to really heal.  So enough of all that.

I've been looking at some vintage garments I have and haven't picked up the scissors yet.  Decisions.

I'll show you what I did complete recently. It's a fun babydoll style dress that's made using cotton sweaters, plaid cotton and linen. This is a pre-snow pic.

Got a start...

and even though it was 27 degrees I realized I had to do my photography outside. There just wasn't a good spot inside. It was either wrong color walls or too many windows. So I picked a spot, donned my parka and fingerless gloves, covered my cast and dragged everything outside.

Things may look balmy, but that grass was crunching under my feet and beyond that is ice, not water. But, the sun was sort of shining so life was good.

Dead and neglected...for now

I did a couple of photos for my Etsy shop http://ecothreadscouture.etsy.com/. Looking at them again, I see that they are a little tilted, something I neglected to check. Actually, my hands got so cold that I had to run them under barely lukewarm water. Hey, where is the glamour?

Let's see a couple of these slightly tilted photos and maybe I can get used to them until it warms up outside.

Still working on ...

setting up a background suitable for my photographs. Had to enlist hubby's help. By the way, we did this outside and the minute we started there came the snow, however briefly. So in 33 degree weather I started photographing.

Long story short, that background won't work. Of course, I discovered that after taking all the photos so I'm back to square one. Groan. Still can't drive because of the cast which I'm sure is the size of Rhode Island. I guess Home Depot will have to wait a few days.

Sorry about no photos, is there anything more boring than a blog minus pics?
